Aberdeen-based marine consulting specialist AMS Global Group has added industry veteran Graeme Reid to its board of directors.
Reid has spent the last two years as a technical advisor to the International Marine Contractors Association having stepped down in January 2017 as managing director of Maritime Assurance Consulting, which he founded in 2010.
He said: “I’m excited to be joining the board of AMS Global Group and to be working alongside the existing board and management team to continue development of the group in both the Marine consulting and safety spaces.
“The group is focusing on providing an independent, high quality service for a competitive price which can be achieved by ensuring the quality of our resources, the speed of our response to client demands and, at the same time, closely managing our overheads.”
AMS Global Group provides services mainly for the offshore energy industry, with operational divisions specialising in areas such as cargo, safety and disinfection.
Director Neil Carr said: “We’re delighted to announce that Graeme has joined our board and we look forward to what the future holds.
As a group, we are in a great position to move forward despite the effects that lockdown and oil price has had on the market.
“We continue to offer a wide range of marine consulting services to assist our clients and this is set to expand.
Our safety business has seen strong growth as we’ve assisted clients navigate their way through the lockdown period with our specialist disinfection and decontamination division.
This will be equally important as we see lockdown measures starting to ease and clients assessing their return to a new normal”.
