The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), says it won awards at the just concluded 29th Enugu International Trade fair.
The NNPC Spokesman, Mr Ndu Ughamadu, said this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
According to him, apart from clinching the award for the overall best exhibitor and participant, NNPC also received accolades for the most reputation-conscious participating organisation and the most valued and outstanding participating company.
Ughamadu said Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu thanked NNPC for its support to various Chambers of Commerce in the country, especially the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ECCIMA.
The statement also quoted the governor as saying “he has learnt a lot at the corporation’s pavilion, and that the NNPC honour was well-deserved,”.
Ughamadu said the President of ECCIMA, Mr Emeka Udeze, presented a special recognition award to the NNPC Group Managing Director, Dr Maikanti Baru. “Dr Baru was awarded for NNPC helmsman’s unwavering support and commitment to the development of Commerce and Industry in the country.
“Udeze also expressed optimism that the next edition of the fair would surpass this year’s feat,’’ he said.
The 29th Enugu International Trade Fair, which held from March 16 to March 27, was organised by ECCIMA. The NNPC had won the overall best award at the 30th Kaduna International Trade Fair in February
