The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) said it has energised and commissioned three 132/33kV electricity transformers at its substations in Calabar, Uyo and in Lagos state.
The spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah in a statement on Tuesday said while Calabar and Uyo substations got two new 60MVA transformers, the firm replaced a 30MVA with 100MVA transformer at Alimosho Transmission Substation in Lagos.
TCN also noted that the Minister of Power, Works and Housing this month commissioned a 40MVA mobile transformer in Umuahia substation and a 60MVA transformer in Aba, Abia state.
Other completed projects awaiting commissioning are a 100MVA transformer in Ejigbo, Lagos and 60MVA in Zaria substation in Kaduna. The statement said another 100MVA transformer is being installed at Ejigbo substation and that a new substation is being constructed by TCN Engineers in Elashe area of Lagos.
